Training
We offer a system administrator course with exam. This course is presented in three units, network fundamentals, basic system administration, and advanced system administration.
Network fundamentals will cover UDP/IP, routing, use of network diagnostic tools Arp, Ping and Tracert, the KMS enhanced Commview network sniffer program. Additionally, the SNTP and UDP packet composition will be covered.
Basic System Administration will cover Perimeters and States, card database fundamentals, card reporting, history reporting, basic system operations. Additional topics will include building a basic regular expression and using the XP scheduler to automate daily tasks.
Advanced System Administration will cover setting up new states, reader diagnostics, system setup requirements for installation of a new reader, setup of the reader firmware for replacement of an existing reader interface. Visual Basic for Applications will be presented with examples using the access control system's COM interface.
