Dallas
The Dallas is a highly efficient and cost-effective card-operated,
door-locking device. The mechanical component is an extruded
aluminum bar, containing an electronically released door lock and
associated electronics. The entire assembly is powered with DC
current, furnished by Power Over Ethernet.
The Dallas, as shown here, is attached to the inside
across the middle of access doors, providing maximum security and
protection against forced entry attempts from the outside. From the
inside, the door opens easily with a nudge on the black push pad.
The cable on the left connects The Dallas to a power source and
controlling computer. The locking mechanism is "fail secure" and
remains locked in the event of power loss.
When properly installed these devices are rated as a
Grade 1 security device.
Grade 1 is the highest rating given by the testing agency for rim locking devices.
Grade 1 means they passed the testing requirements of 1500 lbs. static force, 70 ft. lbs of impact force
and withstands 500,000 cycles.
Doors
protected with The Dallas system only can be opened mechanically
with a key or after the locking mechanism has been activated by an
external card reader.
The CRASHBAR is mounted in the middle of the access door on the interior secure side,
thereby boosting its resistance to physical attack.
The panel-less design eliminates specialized circuits and technicians by integrating the
mechanism with sensors and a card reader.
Standard Category 5 cabling and Internet protocols link the CRASHBAR to the computer over
the corporate network. This benefits the owner by leveraging their computer and personnel assets.
In most cases their in-house technicians will be able to maintain the system.
The simplicity of the CRASHBAR wiring, resulting from integrating its sensors with the locking device,
has made the door component installation easily within the skills of a good locksmith.
All KMS Systems Products are compatible with the major manufactures of MiFare, Proximity and Weigand Readers.
